About the Author

Joey Shurtleff is an undergraduate at Stanford University, pursuing a B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Science. He is an avid music fan, who is interested in expanding his music taste, exposing others to new music, and reshaping the popular music landscape. He is open to all genres of music but listens primarily to independent, electronic, and post-rock music. His favorite artists include Boards of Canada, The Books, Sigur Ros, Autechre, and Mogwai. With this site, Joey aims to expose listeners to the range of music discovery methods and tools available today, and present suggestions regarding the future of music discovery in the digital age.
